How Did Kabbalah Start?
The belief of the numerical system of the Bible comes out of rabbinical Judaism and the study of Jewish mysticism and the Kabbalah which was compiled during the Jews captivity in Babylon.
Kabbalah is a numerical system as well as the tree of life and other occultic Jewish practices such as the Midrash and various Gnostic teachings about numerical significance. There is absolutely no significance in numbers because that would be placing confidence in the created thing (numbers), not in the Creator (God.)
